Flash, which provides several smart parking management software and hardware solutions for parking managers and operators, acquired Ballparc, a developer of event parking and parking enforcement management solutions, for an undisclosed amount.
Ballparc, provides two parking solutions for parking operators: Ballparc Event, an integrated event parking revenue management system that provides solutions to manage event parking inventory, including presales, season tickets, and drive-ups; Ballparc Enforcement, a parking violation management platform for writing and tracking parking tickets, managing officer performance, and real-time reporting. Ballparc solutions are found in 37+ states in the US and used by parking operators, event venues, and city municipalities including Interstate Parking, Ace Parking, Premier Parking, Republic Parking, and Lanier Parking.
With the acquisition, Flash expands its solutions portfolio in the parking management space to include event parking for sports, entertainment, and other event venues of all sizes. The acquisition is also expected to complement Flash’s 2020 acquisition of ZipPark, a valet and event parking firm, as well as provide an opportunity to leverage its partnership network, which includes Ticketmaster, AXS, and Major League Baseball.
Analyst QuickTake: The entry into the event parking management space also places Flash in competition with established players such as ParkHub, which specializes in large-scale event venues and offers comprehensive parking solutions including both software and hardware solutions like POS terminals.
