AdTech firm AdWisely raises USD 1.5 million in seed funding

Funding

 • AdWisely, an online ad automation platform specialized in ecommerce stores, has raised USD 1.5 million in seed funding led by TMT investments with participation from Gaingels, Mana Ventures, Cabra VC, ICU Ventures as well as angel investors.

 • Founded by a team of tech experts from Ukraine, Adwisely (formerly known as Retarget Ads) provides an ad automation platform that enables small and medium-scale businesses (SMBs) in the ecommerce space to automatically place ads on Facebook and Google. The firm also provides a dedicated personal ad manager for firms using its solutions. The firm has partnered with social media firms including Meta and Google as well as leading ecommerce platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce. At present, the firm's solutions are used by 15,000 online stores across the globe from the US, Canada, France, the UK, and Australia, including brands such as KSENIASCHNAIDER, Survival Miami, and Sports Fan Island.

 • The firm plans to use the new funds to integrate with more advertising platforms that are popular with DTC brands like TikTok, Pinterest, and Twitter. It hopes to raise Series A funding later in the year.

 • The firm also announced the launch of a new solution that combines its ad automation platform with its in-house experts to execute more complex and large-scale projects.

Analyst QuickTake: The new fundraising by AdWisely may reflect both the interest in startups specializing in ecommerce brands, which is a fast-growing segment, as well as investor interest in supporting tech startups from Ukraine in the context of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is also noteworthy that AdWisely focuses on providing solutions for SMBs, while other marketing automation startups in the ecommerce space have focused on providing solutions to enterprise users. A case in point is Klaviyo, which recently launched Klaviyo One , an enterprise solution specialized for large brands to unify customer data to enable personalized customer experiences at scale.
