Lordstown Motors appoints Edward T. Hightower as CEO

Management news

  • Lordstown Motors, a developer of light-duty battery-electric pickup trucks for commercial fleets, has announced the appointment of its president Edward T. Hightower to the additional role of chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. He will also continue to serve as the CEO of MIH EV Design LLC, its joint venture with Foxconn.

  • He has previously worked at Ford Motors and General Motors and has more than 30 years of automotive industry experience. 

  • The company’s outgoing CEO Daniel Ninivagg will now serve as the company’s executive chairman and focus on corporate strategy, capital raising, and strategic partnerships.

  • Today, the company also announced several appointments and changes related to senior roles such as vice presidents and advisors.

  • Lordstown Motors’ share prices closed 5.8% up at USD 1.83 following the announcement.
