Flywire, a payment infrastructure provider, has acquired Australia-based international education payment provider Cohort Go for an undisclosed amount. Cohort serves international agents to enable international students to make cross-border tuition payments.
Cohort’s agent platform is likely to enhance Flywire’s existing agent solutions and currently has a network of over 1,000 agent partnerships in over 40 locations. Through the acquisition, Flywire can also expand its operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Flywire claims that the acquisition will modestly enhance its revenue and adjusted EBITDA.

In February 2020, the company acquired B2C healthcare technology platform Simplee, through which Flywire aimed to optimize its digital healthcare payments and patient engagement operations. Prior to that, Flywire had acquired several companies including OnPlan (2018) and UniPay (2015).</ul>
