Nature’s Fynd collaborates with NASA to grow Fy in space

Partnerships

 • Nature’s Fynd, a Chicago-based food tech company developing plant-based proteins from microbes, announced its bioreactor will be heading to space onboard NASA’s SpaceX-25 to develop novel methods of sustainable protein production for space exploration.

 • This flight study will be a part of their ongoing collaboration with NASA’s EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research), Montana State University, and BioServe Space Technologies. Nature’s Fynd will research the efficacy of growing Fy onboard the International Space Station (ISS) in its novel bioreactor and implications caused by low Earth orbit microgravity and radiation conditions.

AnalystQuickTake: Nature’s Fynd was featured on our EDGE100 , ranking fourth amongst 100 promising early-stage startups across various emerging industries. It is living up to its potential with futuristic collaborations and patented technologies to develop industry-changing products and processes, not just on this planet, but also beyond.
