Twelve partners with Alaska Airlines and Microsoft to scale up SAF

Partnerships

 • Twelve, a carbon transformation startup, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Alaska Airlines, an aviation leader and subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, and Microsoft to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for a commercial flight demonstration.

 • Under the agreement, Twelve, Alaska, and Microsoft will advance the production of Twelve’s E-Jet, a fossil-free jet fuel produced by leveraging the company’s carbon transformation technology.

 • The companies will also work on a commercial demonstration flight powered by E-Jet for Microsoft's business travel on Alaska Airlines.

Analyst QuickTake : Twelve raised USD 130 million in a Series B funding round led by DCVC. The funds were used to scale up the production of materials produced from CO2 emissions. This involved Twelve’s first commercial products, a range of CO2-made sunglasses and SAF E-Jet.
