Twelve, a carbon transformation startup, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Alaska Airlines, an aviation leader and subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, and Microsoft to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for a commercial flight demonstration.
Under the agreement, Twelve, Alaska, and Microsoft will advance the production of Twelve’s E-Jet, a fossil-free jet fuel produced by leveraging the company’s carbon transformation technology.
The companies will also work on a commercial demonstration flight powered by E-Jet for Microsoft's business travel on Alaska Airlines.
