Alpaca, a stock trading API platform, has acquired AlpacaJapan, a Japanese licensed broker-dealer, for an undisclosed sum.
Through the acquisition, Alpaca will offer brokerage and trading APIs in Japan. This allows Japanese financial advisors, traders, and developers to enable their customers to invest in the US stock market.
AlpacaJapan will continue to function as an FSA licensed broker-dealer in Japan, even after the acquisition.
