Managed cybersecurity solution provider Huntress acquires Curricula for USD 22 million

M&A

  • Curricula, a character-driven, story-based cybersecurity awareness platform, announced that it was acquired by Huntress, a managed detection and response platform, for USD 22 million.

  • Huntress stated that it plans to integrate Curricula’s storytelling security awareness training solution into its existing suite. The company also mentioned that prior to purchasing Curricula, it had used the solution in-house for its security training.

  • Huntress offers a proprietary solution that aims to resolve the cybersecurity needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. The platform’s services include tracking and eliminating hackers, detecting ransomware incidents, providing antivirus software, highlighting external vulnerabilities, and providing cybersecurity education. As of May 2021, it had served ~30,000 customers—mainly via resellers such as managed security service providers.
