OpTic Gaming acquires streamer monetization tool Botisimo

M&A

  • OpTic Gaming, a North American esports organization has acquired Botisimo, a cross-platform engagement and monetization tool. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

  • Launched in 2020, Botisimo targets streamers, content creators, and esports teams. It can be used for multi-platform content distribution and management, promotional campaigns, and scheduling. It also offers access to analytics and stream data as well as chat engagement features including prompts, polls, and giveaways. As of July 2022, its tools reported more than 36 million unique monthly viewers. The platform is compatible across streaming and content platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Discord.

  • OpTic has been using Botisimo’s tools for its content creators’ and players’ streams and had also previously invested in Botisimo’s Series A funding round in June 2021. The company believes that the acquisition will diversify its revenue and allow it to venture into the streaming industry.
