IQM raises EUR 128 million in Series A2 funding

Funding

 • Finland-based quantum hardware company IQM Quantum Computers (IQM) has raised EUR 128 million (USD 130 million) in a Series A-2 funding round led by World Fund with participation from Bayern Kapital, EIC Fund, and others. The round is reportedly the largest to date to have been raised by a European quantum computing company.

 • The proceeds will be directed toward accelerating the development of its quantum processors to predominantly address climate change and fueling its international business operations.

This round follows the company’s Series A-1 round in November 2020, and most recently a EUR 35 million (USD 37 million) investment from the European Investment Bank (EIB) in April 2022.
