Loop Energy, a Canadian developer of hydrogen fuel cell modules, stacks for vehicle OEMs, and power generation system manufacturers, has partnered with Mobility and Innovation (M&I), a Slovakian manufacturer of hydrogen-electric city buses, to supply 10 additional fuel cell systems for the latter’s city bus platform.
Under the agreement, Loop Energy will deliver S300 (30 kilowatt) fuel cell systems to scale up the production of M&I’s eight-meter city buses, and will also provide support in monitoring the operational performance of the fleet.

Analyst QuickTake: Loop Energy and M&I had previously partnered to develop the prototype version of the city bus for field testing and to achieve EU homologation for the launch of M&I’s hydrogen-electric city bus in March 2022.
