Avidbots partners with Maplesoft to create virtual simulation environments for robot testing

Partnerships

 • Avidbots, a Canadian manufacturer of autonomous floor scrubbing robots, has partnered with Canadian software company Maplesoft to create virtual simulation environments for robot testing for commercial uses.

 • Avidbots will use Mapledoft’s MapleSimengineering software to create more realistic digital models to test different scenarios, features, and components in a virtual simulation environment, without having to invest in physical resources to test robots.

Analyst QuickTake: As announced in April, Avidbots is in the process of upgrading the technology for its floor scrubbing robots in partnership with the University of Waterloo. This partnership with Maplesoft would further facilitate the development of new technology by allowing it to conduct robot simulations more economically.
