Players’ Lounge, an esports tournament platform that connects players for cash prize competitions, has raised USD 10.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Griffin Gaming Partners with participation from Comcast Ventures, Samsung Next, and Vice Ventures, among others. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 14.2 million.
The fresh funds will be used to expand out of the sports gaming genre and support titles such as Call of Duty and Fortnite. It is also expanding the platform to all players by offering challenges that match their skill level. Further, the company plans to launch a mobile app in Q3 2022.
