Zapier, a no-code automation platform, acquired no-code education service and community provider, Makerpad, for an undisclosed amount. This marks Zapier’s first acquisition.
Zapier noted that Makerpad would operate as a standalone entity, continuing its vision to educate people on building no-code projects and workflows.
Makerpad’s founder noted that its user base expanded by around 4x year-over-year (YoY) in 2020, while Zapier’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeded USD 100 million in Q3 2020.
Zapier’s no-code platform allows users to automate routine tasks without coding. Its platform offers integration with more than 2,000 apps. The company's customer base includes small and large enterprises, including Spotify, Adobe, Fox, and BuzzFeed, among others.
