Mobility data provider Wejo announced that it has entered into a partnership with context-aware vehicular network applications developer Roadside Telematics Corp to deliver “Wejo RTTI”, a real-time traffic intelligence tool, designed to provide access to traffic data for first responders and curbside emergency assistance providers.
The solution, powered by Roadside Telematics Corp’s patented crash data software RoadMedic, is expected to provide critical insights like the best route to the accident scene. The solution features 1) real-time traffic updates and traffic events 2) integrated view of traffic conditions and road safety incidents 3) real-time speed and travel time estimates to the crash scene and 4) automatic detection and updates in response to changes in traffic conditions, road closures, and slowdowns.
RoadMedic also reported plans to launch a connected camera-based emergency takeover technology which claims to be a first in the smart mobility space.
