Spinach, a productivity enhancement tool that helps engineers using Scrum Agile methodology to run virtual stand-up meetings, has launched publicly along with a USD 1.8 million seed funding round led by Atlassian Ventures with participation from Y Combinator, Zoom Ventures, Maven Ventures, Tuesday Capital, and Cardumen Capital. The round brings the company’s total funding to USD 6 million. The tool has been working in private beta since 2021 and has more than 100 users including Wix, Fiverr, and Rappi.
Spinach plans to expand its product to facilitate other types of engineering meetings (currently only supports stand-ups) and integrate with additional platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Figma, Notion, and GitHub (currently integrates with Zoom, Jira, Slack, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams) over time.
