Addverb Technologies, a developer of automation solutions for retail and warehouses based in India, has announced the launch of Medius, a new multi-level shuttle (MLS) system targeting fuflillment operations.
The new system which is based on goods-to-person principles, automated storage retrieval systems (ASRS), and carton shuttles will help optimize the use of space within warehouses and distribution centers.
Medius is able to operate at seven levels with the ability to combine multiple MLS systems to add more aisles. The system is also capable of double-deep tote-picking, and travelling horizontally and vertically with 35–40 double cycles per hour with a storage capacity of 255,000 crates.
<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Addverb announced its entry to the Americas in February this year through a subsidiary established in Texas. Later in April, the company partnered with micro fulfillment-as-a-service provider Davinci Micro Fulfillment to launch and expand automated micro fulfillment centers (MFCs) across North America. The new system would help Addverb to establish a further foothold in the market by expanding its portfolio of automation solutions.</ul>
