Product updates

 • Addverb Technologies, a developer of automation solutions for retail and warehouses based in India, has announced the launch of Medius, a new multi-level shuttle (MLS) system targeting fuflillment operations.

 • The new system which is based on goods-to-person principles, automated storage retrieval systems (ASRS), and carton shuttles will help optimize the use of space within warehouses and distribution centers.

 • Medius is able to operate at seven levels with the ability to combine multiple MLS systems to add more aisles. The system is also capable of double-deep tote-picking, and travelling horizontally and vertically with 35–40 double cycles per hour with a storage capacity of 255,000 crates.

Analyst QuickTake: Addverb announced its entry to the Americas in February this year through a subsidiary established in Texas. Later in April, the company partnered with micro fulfillment-as-a-service provider Davinci Micro Fulfillment to launch and expand automated micro fulfillment centers (MFCs) across North America. The new system would help Addverb to establish a further foothold in the market by expanding its portfolio of automation solutions.
