Klaviyo, an email and SME marketing platform specializing in e-commerce brands, has raised USD 100 million from Shopify, a leading ecommerce platform in the US as part of strengthening the existing strategic partnership between the two firms. This brings the total funds raised by Klaviyo to ~USD 775 million.
As part of the partnership, Klaviyo will become a recommended email solution partner for Shopify Plus and will receive early access to new Shopify development features. The partnership is expected to create further opportunities for Klaviyo to integrate its solutions with Shopify merchants.
<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: The deepening of the partnership with Shopify is likely to compliment Klaviyo One , Klaviyo’s new enterprise solution specialized for large brands to unify customer data which is well suited for Shopify Plus which caters to merchants with higher-volume sales. The investment made by Shopify also reflects the growing interest in marketing automation solutions that specialize in e-commerce. Another case in point was Yotpo, an ecommerce marketing platform, which also attracted strategic funding and entered into a partnership with Shopify.</ul>
