Smarter Sorting raises an additional USD 7 million in venture capital funding

<ul><li>Texas-based Smarter Sorting, which uses a cloud-based platform to scan, identify, categorize, and sort chemical-containing products, has raised USD 7 million in a funding round led by Regeneration VC. This is an extension of the company’s previous funding round in March 2022 </ul>

  • The funds will be used to support Smarter Sorting to develop its technology and digital products and expand its team. Following the round Micheal Smith, a General Partner at Regeneration VC also joined Smarter Sorting’s board of directors. 

  • Smarter Sorting reports that it has secured over 1,600 consumer brands and 24 national supermarkets and retailers such as Costco, Wegmans, and Albertsons Companies as its customers to date. The company states that its technology can classify 2 million consumer products across 3,500+ data points and 150 million chemical compounds.
