Beyond Meat lays off 40 jobs in cost-cutting move

Management news

  • Beyond Meat, a California-based producer of plant-based meat, announced that it has laid off approximately 40 positions in a cost-cutting move which the company stated was a strategic decision to reduce operating expenses and support sustainable growth.

  • This news comes right before the release of Q2 2022 earnings which according to analyst estimates is expected to have wider EPS losses compared to Q1 2022. Consensus estimates for Q2 2022 revenue fell by 10% over the last three months. The company shares have been in a state of decline which was most recently exacerbated by failed tests at McDonalds.
