Bluu Seafood, a Germany-based producer of cell-cultured meat, has unveiled seafood products made using cultivated fish cells, which it claims is Europe’s first cultivated seafood product.
The company mentioned that these market-ready products will soon enter the regulatory approval process. Bluu Seafood expects entry into Singapore by 2023 where the sale of cultivated products has already been approved. It also plans to gain approval in the US, UK, and EU and is aiming for a market launch by 2025.
