High Time Foods, a Boston-based startup developing plant-based meats, announced the launch of its first product—a dried plant-based chicken mince product aimed at the food service industry. The product is set to debut at Boloco restaurant in Boston.
This product comes as a dry mix, which has to be combined with water and oil, and can be served either as ground or shaped into nuggets, skewers, and more. The company claims this product is cuisine agnostic, shelf-stable, and preservative-free and will offer the same look, smell, and taste of real minced chicken once cooked.
High Time Foods was founded in 2021 by two Babson College students. The company, which is part of the Techstars Boston summer cohort program, plans on extending its range to beef, pork, and dry eggs in the future but is currently focused on expanding its chicken to more restaurants across Boston.
