Symplicity Foods partners with Smashing Plates to launch plant-based kofta wrap

Partnerships

  • Symplicity Foods, a UK-based startup producing plant-based meat items, announced it has collaborated with London-based Greek food chain Smashing Plates to launch a plant-based kofta wrap. The wrap will feature Symplicity’s vegetable-based meat wrapped in Smashing Plate’s signature doughy wrap accompanied by salad, fries, and new yellow sauce.

  • The wrap will be available at Smashing Plates locations in London Bridge, Tooting, Canary Wharf, and Wembley.

  • Symplicity Foods, founded in 2019 develops clean-label food items using vegetables, miso, and food waste. Its product portfolio includes plant-based meatballs, burgers, and sausages as well as minces, nduja, and sauces. The company’s main clientele focus is on foodservice outlets and catering service. It also plans on opening up its own webstore in the near future for D2C sales.
