Finix Payments (Finix), a provider of a payment facilitator (PayFac)-as-a-service infrastructure platform, has raised USD 30 million in venture capital from investors including The General Partnership (TheGP), Franklin Templeton, American Express Ventures, Acrew Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures. This brings the company’s total raised capital to USD 133 million.
The current valuation of the company was not revealed, but Finix noted the raise occurred at “an increased valuation,” from its Series B round in early 2020.
The company plans to use the funds for further product development.
Finix’s recent highlights include becoming a registered payment facilitator to support software platforms of any size, expanding its in-person payment devices offerings and capabilities and introducing new product features for managing payment operations.
Finix also revealed that it doubled its annual payment volume YoY in 2021 powering “billions of dollars,” handled “billions of” API calls, and grew support to 12,000+ active sub-merchants each month.
