• Persefoni, a SaaS platform for businesses and institutional investors to measure carbon footprints, entered into a strategic collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and IBM Japan to provide carbon footprint data for Japanese companies. 

• In April 2022, some listed companies on the Tokyo Stock Exchange were mandated to disclose financial information in accordance with Climate-Related Financial Information Disclosure. Persefoni's AI-based Climate Management and Accounting Platform (CMAP) will be incorporated into SMBC. This allows SMBC to leverage Persefoni’s SaaS-based climate management and carbon accounting platform to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. 

• Moreover, IBM Japan will further streamline Persefoni’s platform at SMBC, through the application of the IBM Garage methodology to develop a tool that further supports emission calculation and reporting processes. 

<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Previously in July 2022, Persefoni also partnered with Carnrite Group , a management consultancy firm, to develop a footprint data services solution. This integrates Persefoni’s SaaS-based climate management and carbon accounting platform with Carnrite’s advisory and carbon accounting expertise.</ul>
