Zuora announces plans to acquire Zephr to expand product suite

M&A

  • Zuora, a payment infrastructure provider, has announced plans to acquire subscription experience platform Zephr to expand its product suite.

  • The two companies already have joint customers through a partnership and the acquisition is expected to further integrate their capabilities. Zephr’s identity management, intelligent trials, dynamic paywalls, and entitlements management capabilities combined with the data from Zuora’s billing, collect, and revenue systems will offer users the ability to better manage their subscriber relationships.

  • The acquisition is expected to contribute approximately USD 5 million to Zuora’s annual recurring revenue (ARR).

  • Zuora will pay USD 44 million in cash at the close with an earnout consideration of up to USD 6 million subject to several financial objectives. The transaction is expected to close in September subject to customary approvals.
