Johnson Controls partners with Nozomi Networks to provide threat assessment solutions for customers

Partnerships

 • Johnson Controls, a smart building infrastructure and technology company, has signed a framework agreement with the IoT/OT security startup Nozomi Networks to deliver the latter’s threat assessment solutions for its customers. This will further extend the cybersecurity capabilities of a customer's IoT infrastructure with threat monitoring and visibility.

 • Johnson Controls also participated in Nozomi Networks’ USD 100 million funding round in August 2021. Nozomi Networks supports over 74 million devices across the energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation, utilities, building automation, smart cities, and critical infrastructure sectors.

Analyst QuickTake: This partnership comes on the heels of Johnson Controls’ acquisition of the cybersecurity company Tempered Networks. Tempered Networks Airwall technology was integrated with Johnson Controls’ smart building platform, OpenBlue, to create a software-defined security perimeter that protects device-to-device, device-to-cloud, and device-to-user communications of connected buildings globally.
