Vegan Junk Food Bar, a Dutch fast-food chain serving plant-based menu items, has entered the German market by opening the chain’s largest restaurant (222 seats) in the city of Cologne.
The restaurant located in an area renowned for shopping and nightlife. It will feature dishes such as burgers, vegan seafood, and plant-based ribs, which are already available at its other locations, with the addition of loaded fries with bratwurst made specifically for the German patrons.
Vegan Junk Food Bar opened its first location in 2017, followed by four additional restaurants. Currently, the restaurant has outlets in the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany. All menu items at the restaurant are 100% vegan and are made using ingredients like wheat, soy protein, pea starch, tapioca starch, potato starch, sunflower oil, and beetroot juice.
