Stacked, a web3-based livestreaming platform, has raised USD 12.9 million in a Series A funding round led by Pantera Capital with participation from Z Venture Capital (a merger between LINE Ventures and YJ Capital), GFR Fund, Alexandr Wang (founder, Scale AI), Eddy Lu (CEO, GOAT), and Carl Pei (co-founder, OnePlus and Nothing).
The proceeds will be used for marketing, content acquisition, and talent recruitment. The company also plans to expand to North America in December 2022, and later to Latin America, India, and Southeast Asia.

Analyst QuickTake : In addition to the funding, the company is likely to benefit from its latest association with LINE, a leading messaging platform with over 165 million monthly active users (2020) across Japan and Southeast Asia, and popular mobile device companies OnePlus and Nothing with sizable user bases. Notably, OnePlus and Nothing indicated an interest in the NFT space in 2022. Further, Stacked becomes the first livestreaming platform in our coverage with majority ownership by creators.
