Bboxx, an off-grid solar developer, has acquired PEG Africa, a company that finances and deploys solar power to households and SMEs, to become the leading super platform for essential products and services in Africa with a customer base of 3.5 million people and 35 MW of installed solar capacity.
The company will be benefiting from PEG Africa’s operational and credit experience and will also gain access to new markets in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Mali bringing Bboxx’s total operating markets to 10 countries.
PEG Africa is a solar energy pioneer in West Africa and has one of the broadest footprints in the region with operations in four countries, close to 100 service centers, and reaching one million people with its solar home systems.
