StoreDot, an Israeli extreme fast charging (XFC) battery developer, has started shipping EV cell samples of its “100in5” battery technology to strategic EV OEM partners and potential customers.
<ul><li>This technology, which comes in 30Ah silicon-dominant anode, lithium-ion pouch cells and promises 100 miles of range with 5 minutes of charging, will be undergoing intensive real-world testing with OEM partners including Daimler, VinFast , Volvo , Polestar , Ola Electric and other automotive players .</ul>
Analyst QuickTake: This marks a significant step forward for StoreDot to begin mass-producing its battery cells in 2024, with the company already on track to exceed its commercialization milestone of 1000 cycles in 2022. StoreDot has also set strategic goals of providing 100 miles of range with 3 minutes of charging in 2028, and then with 2 minutes of charging within a decade.
