Paravision extends contract with US Air Force; receives more funding

Partnerships

  • Paravision, a provider of facial recognition software, has announced the expansion of its contract with the US Air Force with an increase in funding through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract.

  • The contract is an extension of an SBIR awarded in May 2020, where Paravision deployed its face recognition and computer vision technology with Kessel Run for physical access control and facility security.

  • The new contract aims to deploy Paravision’s PLASMA (physical logical access, security, and management automation) tools to improve Kessel Run’s cybersecurity as well as physical security.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Being ranked as the most accurate facial recognition algorithm in the January 2022 one-to-many facial recognition vendor test, Paravision has been commissioned for several government projects. It was previously commissioned by the US Department of Defense (DoD) in March for a data readiness program and for a deepfake detection program in June this year.
