Next Level Burger, an Oregon-based vegan fast food chain, announced it has raised USD 20 million in a venture funding round led by a strategic organic and natural food partner, private shareholders, and early-stage vegan investors Alex Payne and Nicole Brodeur.
The company expects to use the funding to expedite its US expansion which includes quadrupling the number of outlets by 2025 as well as increasing the number of outlets of its plant-based chicken spinoff Next Level Clucker to 1000 within a decade.
Next Level Burger, founded in 2014, opened its first location in Bend, Oregon and expanded through the west coast. Currently, it is operating in nine locations in the states of California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, and New York. The chain’s menu offerings include burgers, fries, and milkshakes which the company claims are 100% plant-based and made using non-GMO organic ingredients. The company also debuted its plant-based chicken spinoff Next Level Clucker in January 2021.
