TeraWatt raises over USD 1 billion to expand its US EV charging portfolio

Funding

  • TeraWatt Infrastructure, a commercial EV charging solutions provider, has raised over USD 1 billion in a Series A funding round led by Vision Ridge Partners with participation from existing investors Keyframe Capital and Cyrus Capital. This brings the company's total funding to USD 1.1 billion.

  • TeraWatt plans to use the funds to accelerate its next phase of development and expansion which focuses on growing its existing portfolio of charging centers.

  • Founded in 2018 and launched out of stealth in 2021, TerraWatt acquires properties in metro areas, logistics hubs, and key highway corridors which are strategically relevant to fleets and develops EV charging infrastructure with a focus on commercial EV fleets with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
