Nexa3D introduces new photoplastic materials to expand 3D printing applications

Product updates

  • Nexa3D, a seller of 3D printers and related products, announced the expansion of its functional resin portfolio with the commercial availability of three new photoplastic resins—xESD, xMODEL15, and xMODEL35—targeting rapid production and prototyping use cases.

  • The xESD targets electronics development and manufacturing applications, which require electrostatic dissipative properties and isotropic mechanical properties. Thai resin can be used to make jigs, fixtures, grippers, etc. The material is compatible with NXE2-400, NXE 2-400Pro, and XiP desktop printers.

  • xMODEL15, which is derived from plant-based materials, targets applications that require a high level of surface quality and is suitable for polishing, painting, and plating, while the xMODEL35 comes with advanced thermal properties and low moisture absorption making it suitable for functional models.
