Opus Security, an Israel-based cloud security orchestration and remediation startup, raised USD 10 million in a seed funding round led by YL Ventures, with participation from Tiger Global and several angel investors.
This announcement also marks the company’s emergence from stealth. The funds will be used to accelerate product R&D, launch the platform in general availability (currently in early adoption) sometime around Q1 2023, and expand its footprint in the US.
Opus Security also plans to expand its employee headcount of 10 to 20–25 by the end of the year.
Analyst QuickTake: Opus Security was founded by Meny Har and Or Gabay, who were also a part of the founding team at Siemplify, a cybersecurity startup that was acquired by Google for USD 500 million in January this year.
