Opus Security emerges from stealth with USD 10 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Opus Security, an Israel-based cloud security orchestration and remediation startup, raised USD 10 million in a seed funding round led by YL Ventures, with participation from Tiger Global and several angel investors.

  • This announcement also marks the company’s emergence from stealth. The funds will be used to accelerate product R&D, launch the platform in general availability (currently in early adoption) sometime around Q1 2023, and expand its footprint in the US.

  • Opus Security also plans to expand its employee headcount of 10 to 20–25 by the end of the year.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Opus Security was founded by Meny Har and Or Gabay, who were also a part of the founding team at Siemplify, a cybersecurity startup that was acquired by Google for USD 500 million in January this year.
