Colorado-based Jack & Annie’s, a plant-based meat startup using jackfruit as its main ingredient, announced the launching of three new frozen products—Crispy Jack Patties, Buffalo Jack Patties, and Crispy gluten-free Jack Tenders.
Apart from jackfruit, these products contain other ingredients such as rice flour, soy flour, corn starch, canola oil combined with plant fibers, and spices. The company claims its products are naturally nutrient-dense, high in protein and fiber, and low in calories.
Jack & Annie’s, founded in 2020, manufactures a range of plant-based meat, with products including tenders, chicken patties, buffalo patties, nuggets, buffalo wings, meatballs, breakfast sausage patties, and links as well as smoky sausage, Italian sausage, and smoky pulled pork. The company’s products can be purchased at over 1,500 stores including Hannaford, Wegmans, Sprouts, Wholefoods, Meijer, Target, and Giant stores nationwide.
