Next Gen Foods opens new US headquarters and R&D center

Industry news

  • Next Gen Foods, a Singapore-based plant-based meat producer, known for its TiNDLE plant-based chicken brand, announced the establishment of its new headquarters in Chicago as well as its first US-based R&D innovation center at The Hatchery Chicago.

  • The Hatchery will allow TiNDLE to engage in product development as it expands to more food service outlets and scale up to new US sales channels, including retail. Further, it will leverage consumer and operator insights to explore Next Gen’s new plant-based products and expansion of the brand’s product range.

  • AnalystQuickTake: Next Gen Foods secured USD 100 million in February 2022, making it the largest Series A funding by a plant-based meat company with the funds being intended to expedite the company’s US expansion among others. With the new additions to its US operations along with the company’s wide international presence, Next Gen is well positioned to be a leader in the plant-based meat sector.
