Netherlands-based quantum hardware company QuiX has secured EUR 14 million (USD 14 million) from the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luftund Raumfahrt; DLR) to deliver photonics-based universal quantum computers.
The four-year collaboration will follow DLR’s Quantum Computing Initiative framework to develop eight-qubit and 64-qubit universal quantum computers. QuiX will be a part of DLR’s Innovation Center in Ulm (Germany) and be able to combine its quantum hardware capabilities with the expertise of various quantum and innovation experts in the German quantum and innovation ecosystem.
