Adamo Foods receive USD 620,000 investment

Funding

  • UK-based Adamo Food, a food tech company developing plant-based whole-cut meats, has secured USD 620,000 investment consisting of a Smart Grant from the UK Government’s research and innovations department Innovate UK as well as an investment from Beeches Group and funding for being crowned as the winner of SHALE Climate Change 2022 competition.

  • The investment is intended to be used for further development of the company’s fungi-based whole-cut steak alternative.

  • Adamo Foods, uses proprietary fermentation technology combined with mycelium to produce clean-label whole-cut steaks. According to the company, it uses less than eight ingredients in its production process, which is claimed to be fully-natural. The company plans to pilot launch its product in 2023 at select locations in Europe in collaboration with food influencers, social media gurus, and PR experts.
