Swiss company Mycroena, a developer of mycoprotein ingredients, collaborated with plant-based meat producer Peas of Heaven to launch a new range of products made using Mycorena’s flagship product Promyc and pea protein.
Earlier this year, the companies collaborated to develop a hybrid vegan sausage made using Promyc and pea protein, making this the second instance where both companies collaborated to develop new products.
Peas of Heaven, is a Swiss producer of plant-based meats born out of a family business that focused on deli meats and charcuteries. Since the transition from real meat to plant-based meats, the company has leveraged its cooking techniques and spice mixes from its meat operations to develop its pea protein-based meat alternatives. The company’s portfolio includes sausages, deli meats, meatballs, nuggets, fish sticks, and burgers, among others which are available online and through foodservice outlets.
