Railsr, a British Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) infrastructure provider, raised USD 46 million in funding, which includes a USD 26 million Series C round led by Anthos Capital with participation from existing investors Ventura, Outrun Ventures, CreditEase, and Moneta. The remaining USD 20 million comes through debt funding from Mars Capital.
Although the company did not disclose its valuation, Railsr indicated that it has reduced from its near USD 1 billion valuation in July 2021. The company is yet to turn profitable and claims that this funding will substantially support its achievement of profitability.
Railsr’s revenue has reportedly risen by 50% in H1 2022, and it expects the growth to slow down in H2. Moreover, the number of customers has reached about 300 currently, from around 220 a year ago.
