Alcatraz AI partners with Johnson Controls to provide integrated access control solutions

  • Alcatraz AI, a developer of facial recognition-based access control systems, has partnered with Johnson Controls, a provider of access control solutions for buildings. The partnership aims to integrate Alcatraz AI’s biometric access control solutions with Johnson Controls’ data-driven access control technology to provide customers with an additional layer of security for buildings.

  • The partnership comes amidst increasing demand for touchless access solutions driven by the Covid-19 pandemic. The combined solution will help businesses and organizations to implement safe entry to premises with minimal physical contact.

  • The Alcatraz Rock platform uses computer vision, AI, and 3D sensing to allow frictionless entry into physical locations and can be integrated with existing access control systems. It can also be used as a one-factor authentication system capable of multi-person, in-the-flow sensing (allowing many people to walk in at once). Additionally, the product is equipped with AI-powered mask detection.
