Israeli cell-cultured startup Aleph Farms announced the appointment of Kevin Benmoussa as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Benmoussa will be based in the headquarters in New York City and will lead the company’s global growth agenda and US expansion from the company’s new US offices.
Benmoussa previously served as the CFO at The Vita Coco Company where he oversaw the expansion of the brand’s global finance functions prior to its IPO. He has also held corporate leadership positions at Nestlé Waters North America Inc and PepsiCo.
At Aleph Farms, Benmoussa will oversee the global finance, administration, and legal departments of the company ahead of its first product launch–a cultured thin-cut beef steak. The company also plans on developing different cuts of steak and cultivated collagen in the future. In anticipation of the launch, the company is working closely with regulatory agencies around the world.
