Quantron, a German developer of electric and hydrogen commercial vehicles, has signed a framework agreement with TMP Logistics Group, a transportation solution provider, to supply up to 500 Class 8 trucks with fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) systems, for delivery by 2024.
The FCEV trucks will be operated via the Quantron-as-a-Service (QaaS) platform with the provision of infrastructure for hydrogen production and refueling. As part of the partnership, the two companies also plan to integrate zero-emission vehicles from third-party vehicle suppliers into the QaaS platform. Quantron will serve as the FCEV Class 8 trucks supplier for TMP Logistics.
Analyst QuickTake: The supply agreement between Quantron and TMP Logistics was signed within the same week following the company’s formation of Quantron US . The supply deal of 500 Class 8 trucks, will enable Quantron to move closer to achieving its planned sales target of 50% of its turnover in North America by 2025 while offering a 360-degree product and solution ecosystem.
