Beyond Meat partners with Allana Consumer Products in expansion to India

  • California-based producer of plant-based meat, Beyond Meat partnered with Allana Consumer Products, a subsidiary of Allana Group, to offer its plant-based products across India. 

  • Through the partnership, Allana will distribute Beyond burger, Beyond sausage, Beyond meatballs, and Beyond Mince in over 26 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, available for purchase via gourmet stores (Nature’s Basket, Le Marche, Modern Bazaar, Spencers) and online stores (Urban Platter, Vegan Dukan, Vegan World, Vvegano, Alt Mart).

  • Analyst QuickTake: India, which has the second-highest population in the world, is said to have the highest share of vegetarians among its population. Plant-based products have a promising future in the country and have already gained interest with Bollywood stars such as Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and John Abraham having invested in plant-based meat and dairy companies. This partnership will support Beyond Meat reaches a significant customer base and cater to the ever-growing demand for vegan and healthy living communities in India.
