German B2B BNPL startup Mondu raised EUR 20 million (~USD 19.5 million) in a debt funding round from Vereinigte Volksbank Raiffeisenbank. This follows Mondu’s EUR 40 million (~USD 43 million) Series A funding round in May 2022.
The proceeds will be used to scale its offering in Germany, open a new office in the Netherlands and ramp up marketing efforts in the country, and for product development.
Analyst QuickTake : Mondu’s expansion will likely be met with competition from UK-based B2B player Hokodo, who also has a presence in the Netherlands, having recently raised funding . In Germany, local peer Topi, flush with fresh funding , plans to develop a white-label platform.
