DUX Gaming, an esports team organization raised EUR 3 million (~USD 2.9 million) in a funding round led by NBA champion Marc Gasol, with participation from footballers Thibaut Courtois and Borja Iglesias as well as the founders Jordi Torras and Xavier Robles.
The funds will be used to expand into Latin America and to relocate its NBA 2K League franchise, DUX Infinitos, from Indianapolis to Mexico City.
DUX Gaming is a Spanish esports team organization that competes in titles such as FIFA, NBA 2K, F1, and Gran Turismo. In 2021 it became the second NBA 2K League franchise to be formed outside North America. The company is also active in traditional sports with a women’s football team, DUX Logroño, and a semi-professional football club, DUX Internacional de Madrid. DUX Gamings’ commercial partners include Adidas, Playstation, and Heineken.
