XR glass developer VITURE raises USD 10 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • VITURE, a developer of immersive XR glasses, has raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round co-led by BAI Capital and Verity Ventures. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 15 million. 

  • The funds will be used to mass produce the company’s XR glasses, scheduled to be launched in early 2023, and develop its research and development. 

  • Founded in 2021, VITURE is currently developing “One XR” and claims it is equipped with the world’s first tint-changing lenses. It is compatible with Steam VR, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox allowing users to stream content from these platforms. 

  • Analyst QuickTake : AR/VR glasses have recently been in the spotlight with larger players in the space raising capital and launching new products. Vuzix announced, “Blade 2”, the second generation of its AR glasses “Blade” in August 2022 . Chinese AR glasses manufacturer Nreal raised USD 15 million in funding and launched its glasses in the US. Big Tech companies such as Google and Meta have AR/VR glasses in the pipeline.
