InoBat, a Slovakian next-generation battery manufacturer, signed protocols and declarations of intent with the Valladolid City Council, Junta de Castilla y León, and the Ministry of Industry for the construction of a new EV battery production facility in Valladolid, Spain.
Although not a finalized agreement, the signing of these protocols and declarations of intent ensures that if InoBat selects Spain as the location for its facility, the necessary permits, and governmental support are in place. Reasons for the company considering Valladolid for its expansion include; the availability of talent, access to renewable energy, proximity to other OEMs, and strong transport links.
The development of a new production facility is part of InoBat’s goal to create a network of EV battery production plants across the globe. This upcoming facility in Western Europe will complement the company’s current production point in Voderady, Slovakia, as well as its recently announced site in Indiana, USA.
